rear brake pad change
Mike, Savannah, Spike, Coors, anybody know the answer?
Mine are pretty crunchy when I hit the brakes so I have stopped driving until I can replace them but I would like to know as well. If the sensors will go bad if reached a certain point of pad wear?
No there are no wear sensors.
A brake fluid flush is a brake fluid flush,if you've done it on one car you've done it on any car, drain out all of the old fluid, add new and start bleeding the brakes.
I start at the right front wheel and work my way to the right rear, then left rear, then left front to finish it off.
Others start at the right rear, left rear, right front, left front.
In my opinion it does not matter because it is a 4-channel braking system so each and every brake line has its own supply of fluid.
You will need 2 qts.

rear brakes are a breeze Jon, if you have a problem hit me up. When I flushed mine it was as spike said 2 quarts. You may want to when you have it apart pull the abs sensor and clean it. That throws our 3 friends on as well...
Hopefully I can do it on Friday when it warms up, for now she's sitting until I get it done. Aaron I will prob be calling ya lol I'm think about doing my rotors as well. They have some rust on the outer side wall of them and look pretty bad. Idk how bad they actually are but if I'm gonna be in there I may as well.
Jon I will keep my phone handy lol...Im doing my fronts this week sometime. I bought the Terrafirma rotors and the Akebono ceramic pads. I brake like an *** so I blow through rotors and pads, I hope these hold up better. I did not forget about your nuts lmao!!!
Everything went great, the rotor on my driver side was trashed and the caliper pins were frozen but a little pb blaster and they can right out. No problem with the passenger side easy cheesy took me 4 hours to do it but well worth it....mission accomplished
Thanks guys
