Default Uneven Rear Brake Pad Wear

Recently I noticed that there is some squeaking from the right rear when I brake. I thought it's just that the brake pads are wearing down. Upon a closer look I noticed that my right rear pads are wearing significantly faster than my left rear. The truck doesn't pull to one side or another when I brake though. What sort of problem should I be expecting? I want to get the right parts on hand before pulling the rear brakes. Thanks.

Caliper could be sticking slightly causing it to "drag" on the rotor a bit.

Thanks for your response. If that's the case, is this the fix?

Perhaps, but sometimes the caliper piston has also scored the cylinder wall, etc., and you end up replacing the whole thing. I found my sticking caliper with an IR thermometer. One disk was 40F hotter than other disk on same axle.

In that case did you end up replacing the whole caliper+piston set?

Or could I get away with a new piston and the caliper service kit?

If it can be honed out and rebuilt then do that, if not buy a rebuilt caliper.
Make sure to replace both rear brake pads and do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush when you are done.
