Default Rear Brake Wow

A couple of years back I installed new rotors(slotted and drilled) and pads. The rear brakes howled. Several of sets of rear different manufacturers pads latter learned to live with noise (BAD). Today rotating the tires I noticed the rear pads hair pins bent. Yep, pads twisted but not making noise, the rotor was sheared and hanging free. Now, new brake kit and rear calipers. Any brand suggestions?

Thanks in advance

ive got brembo blank rotors in the rear with cheap beck arnley semi metallic pads. after 3k miles, they're smooth and quiet. ive also used ebc, mintex, ate, and lockheed(OEM) pads. the lockheed pads were constantly making noise.

Who's pads and rotors did you use, and were they only on the rear?

It was a performance kit that I purchased from a Land Rover Parts Distributer over the internet. They made in India. No name plain boxes. Rotors and pads. Replaced all hardware was from same place in Land Rover boxes. I replaced all four corners at that time. EBC, NAPA and Autozone pads in the back since then. None of the pads wore out since I was replacing them to quiet the noise. Now I wonder if when i compressed the caliper piston that I may have shoved crud into the bore causing the piston to stick and letting the brakes rattle on the rotor. Each time I used anti squeal when replacing the pads.

So, I was curious cause good slotted and drilled rotors do not make noise. I would question the casting of the rotors as being a possible reason for the noise.
If I had that problems, I would switch to DBA's in the rear with EBC pads. Make sure to do a full 3 pint DOT 4 brake flush.
DAP has the best prices on both the pads and rotors.
