Default Rear Bumper Question

Does any of the steel rear bumpers have the holes pre drilled for back up sensors? If so who? Should the sensors even be placed into a steel bumper? Thanks in advance

99% sure, no. Your best bet for steel bumpers is to keep it real simple, no accessories, and improve departure angle. Kind of defeats the purpose to trade up for heavy steel and have breakable things on it. Plus, holes in steel tube = great hidden rust opportunity

Why have parking sensors on a steel bumper? There are few things you can bump into and actually do damage. Unless its another steel bumper

Is there a way to disengage the backup sensors so that when you put it in reverse they don't go off?

Can't you just unplug it at the bumper, driver's side rear on the frame??

You just disconnect the sounder.

Seems like that feature is impressive specially when your windows are hevily tinted and with a lift. Rusting on holes can be maintained and could be very minimal in the long run. Just pop the sensor out and paint. Yes, to some its annoying beep but I cant imagine how accurate those sensors work. There are occations at night when backing up looking from one side then upon looking the other way, a stupid person walked behind, that could have been an accident without the sensor. I dont really carre so much backing up to another car but stupid people who try to outrun you.

Didn't one of the swing away tire threads mention mounting the tire high enough to clear the back up sensors? I'm assuming a steel bumper with the swing away. May not be.
