Have you done a search for the common problems with a Disco yet?

Yeah, I've been on here every day since I joined doing research. I know about the front driveshaft and the potential SLS issues. To start out, I'll only be driving the truck about 3 miles a day tops, so some of the smaller issues can wait, and I'm not buying it if it has major issues. I'll probably just ordera whole new front drive shaft, unless it's just way more expensive than having the current one rebuilt. I have a large selection of tools here at the house, but I don't think I could tackle a driveshaft rebuild. Anything else though, I'm good to go.

I just wanna say thanks to Urban Panzer for his great informative website. I have never done a drive shaft rebuild before, but after seeing his writeup on his site, I believe it is something that I can handle. As soon as I buy my truck, I'll be rebuilding the driveshaft first thing.
