Default Rear Cargo Door Won't Open

I have had this problem before, but I would cycle the locks a couple of times, drive it for 15-20 minutes and that would resolve the problem.

It has been four weeks now, and the back door won't open! I am getting ready to go on a road trip and need that door to open. The handle on the exterior will actuate as will the latch on the interior. The lock cycles- but nothing. I think that the bail is frozen in the lock position, but I can't figure out how to get to it.

Any suggestions? I need you input ASAP. Thanks!

I have had problems with the back latch on my truck.
I just spray it with WD-40 and keep working the latch.
You may have to keep moving the handle back and forth until it finally works on its own.
I had to open the back door from the inside to get the door open and then I sprayed WD-40. Be careful as the oil will drip all over.
