Default Rear defrost relay location?

Hey all,

I've tried several searches, but I can' find a definitive answer. I'm troubleshooting my rear defrost/defog. I have power to the fuse, continuity across the fuse, and power to the switch (which lights up like it should when depressed). If I put my head down close to the interior fuse panel, I can also hear a relay click when energized by the switch.

No power going to the connectors at the rear glass. So before I start tearing the wiring apart, I'd like to check the relay. Problem is... I can't find the damn thing. The legend for the fuse panel is worthless. The RAVE shows a relay in the schematic, but I can't find any mention of it's actual location.

Rover gurus, please humble me with your vast knowledge.

Please turn to page 496 of 705 in the electrical library. Connector C0582. You'll see a picture of the back of the fuse panel, which includes the IDM module and several relays. It is not a rear easy repair if module or relay is bad, you would be swapping out the fuse panel. But consider that if you have positive volts headed toward the rear glass, it could also be a ground for the glass or the cable that swings with the door having a break in it.

Thanks Buzz!

So if I read you correctly, the relay is bear to get at. The two wires at the back glass... When the system is energized, one side should be a ground and the other should read +12V. So maybe working back will be the best way.

Cheers,
Gavin
