I’m not much of an audiophile so tell me, are they speakers or something else....sub woofers?
I recently replaced the dried out foam on them and I still don’t hear any sound coming out of them, just vibrations.

 

They're not subs, but the exact specs of the speakers depend on the level of the audio system your truck was fitted with in the factory.

 

It’s an HSE with the Harmon Kardon system if that means anything.

 

If you are talking about the rear cargo door than they are subs because you have the Harmon Kardon system, if you are talking about the rear passenger doors they are the mid range speakers. Do you have an aftermarket head unit installed? I do and mine defaults to a “Subwoofer ON” setting, which is incorrect because you want the under seat amp to do all of the mixing and whatnot. Anyway, I have to change it back to Subwoofer OFF every time I disconnect the battery.

 

So yes, I'm referring to the rear cargo door. What your saying is they are sub woofers? So is it correct that I don't really hear any sound (talk or music), but rather they just seem to vibrate (and add bass??)

 

Correct, they aren’t even that good of subwoofers from what I understand (I’m not an audiophile either) because they just aren’t big enough to move a lot of air.

 

Oh, I thought you were talking about the rear passenger doors. Yes, the barn door ones are subs.
