On the disco 1, inside the tailgate door, what is behind the metal mesh next to the door pocket. Is it a subwoofer? If so, mine does not work....

 

Yes it is the sub-woofer and they are not powerful like the kids car make sure you have your bass turned all the way up and volume past half way and play some of my daughters discs and you might find it works, this is how she taught me to use it.............Good Luck [&o][&o]

 

I have an aftermarket cd player installed and I cannot hear ANY bass. Nothing comes out of that rearwoofer on the tailgate.

 

Sorry to hear that from my understanding the oem sub-woofer is interconnected to the originol head unit and amp. When we cganged the head unit in my wifes sl500 we had no sub either went to the stereo shop they had to in stall new amps and subs to be compatible with th new unit. Be carefull when you take it out is has classified value

 

There is an amp integration plug that you have to use to be able to use the subs....

 

Where is the plug located and how is it done?

 

ummmmm, gotta find it again. Did you wire in an aftermarket harness to plug in your new stereo, or did you tap straight in and bypass the factory connector?
