Rear door license plate nut/fastener/rivet? Broke
The license plate pressed in aluminum nut rivet thing is broke on the discovery I bought. It looks like someone tried to put the wrong size bolt in it and then broke the nut away from the retainers/rivet. I cut the bolt off and the back of the nut just fell out but the press in rivet thing is still there is there any place I can but these again to try and make a factory style again.

My nuts on the plate frame fell out as well. They were stripped and rusted.
I kinda cheated. Had some SS 10mm nuts in my case so made them work.
Heated the license plate frame with a heat gun till the plastic was soft and pushed the new nuts in the place of the old nuts (counter-sunk).
Worked great and they wont rust.
Hope this helps.

Nick

It's not in the plate frame it is in the rear door itself on a 1998. They are pressed in. I've noticed that the factory land rover rear lamp guards come with the same pieces but I don't want to pay 60.00 for a whole kit to just use one of the press in rivet/nuts
