Default rear door plate bracket removal (D2)

i bought a disco II about 6 months ago and i finially found a replacement liscense plate bracket so i can mount my rear plates. the problem is that the old bracket broke off and has plactic parts still attached to the back door in the holes that i need to mount the new one. it appears that there are two scret type-things holding the plastic in place and i cant get them out. HELP!!!

i think you can access them by taking off the rear gate panel. just remove the sub enclosure and the door handle and the panel pops off. be careful not to break to many of the plastic tabs they are delicate. you can access all your rear door goodies from there
