Default Rear door will not open?

Rear passenger door will not open from the inside or outside. The actuator is working the lock as you can see the thumb rod moving as it should. I have the panel off and the inside linkage appears to be attached....cant tell if the outside handle is. Any ideas? Thanks. 03 Disco 2

Does the exterior hatch handle move, move freely, or seem to function?

Is the interior cable connected?

on one of the rear hatch actuators that I had to rebuild, the manual armature was sprung, preventing the actual manual release to engage.

my door was stuck; I had to break the armature off (it’s plastic) and then it allowed the exterior handle to release. But, I had another actuator on hand to replace it with...so I wasn’t in the same boat.

The exterior handle dosent feel like it is attached to the actuator at all. The interior is attached correctly but will not open the door. I have a used actuator already. Does this sound like the same issue you had with the exterior door handle? This is the rear passenger door...no armature on it by the looks of the pic in RAVE.

Rear passenger door not the back hatch door. Looks like it gonna be a PITA to bust the actuator out of there.

three screws and then the actuator just slides out of the slot.

you still have the same basic issue that I described in the 1st tutorial...you must pull the interior door panel and release the armature inside the door frame.

if the super lock motor were dead...none of the doors would open. They all need to open or none of them will.

you need to make sure you have a spare actuator already; once that armature breaks....there is no turning back.
