Did you fiddle with the inside lock and move the metal button up and down? Did you spray the insides with WD-40? I thought mine had a busted whatever it's called but it turned out to be stuck.

 

I got it figured out. 2 issues, The ext door handle is missing the connecting linkage which is why you cant open from outside. Second the child lock was engaged on the actuator preventing the inside lever from working, I was able to pull back the weather striping and flip the child lock off with a screwdriver and was able to finally open the door from the inside. Now to find a linkage. If anybody has one hit me up! And yes I searched the door cavity for the linkage. How the heck someone lost this piece is beyond me.
