Default rear fog lights

I have a switch for the rear fog lights. when i press it, it illuminates, but no rear fogs. are they actually just brighter output by the taillights? The harness behind the switch had come undone/disconnected as well as the cruise control. i reconnected both of them, and neither work, but both buttons illuminate when depressed. any help would be appreciated.

The rear fog lights are like another set of brake lights,
and only come on when the head lights are on.

Did you get the plugs rights if so check the blubs.

2nd. I used mine for most of my ride to Colorado this past weekend (1794 miles). The wife was following me so I used them in the fog and snow to help her find her way ;-) The one(s) on my Audi only illuminates the drivers side tail light. Same goes for Benz's.
