Default Rear Ladder Install Question

I have a nice 2001 Disco 2 - I have the Wilderness (Garvin) Off Road half rack on the rear....was thinking of adding a ladder on the rear to make it more accessible.

Question is: Does the rear ladder damage the door by putting any real weight on it? I weigh 200lbs...seems like that much weight on the door might mess something up, or maybe I'm being overly cautious about it.

Most of the Disco is built like a tank, but you all know how easily some stuff can break on these...

Put my mind at ease with your rear ladder stories - Thanks!!!

You only climb on the ladder when the door is closed so all the extra weight rests on the door latch, which is pretty sturdy.
I weigh about what you do and I've had my ladder for years and I use my roof rack all the time for carrying stuff, lumber, plywood, IKEA type furniture...no problem.

Ok Thanks...I figured I would use it more just to pull my *** up to stand on the bumper anyways...
