Default Rear speakers clipping

Hey guys, put a Android 10" touchscreen in the dash with a Scosche SLC4 line out audio converter and have adjusted to optimize noise but if I turn up the volume medium loud the rear speakers start clipping. I have the fader balanced slightly to the rear based on my height and seat position. Never had this with factory head unit, anyone else run in to this? Wondering if I should replace amp or speakers first (I have both available). Been out of the car audio game a while (worked my way through college as an installer/competitor) and always thought D2 factory systems did not need much help.

What head unit are you using? Weird that it wouldn't already have line level outputs.

It is one of the Amazon cheap android Chinese units. Has low level out but only two channels, not four. Using the speaker out in to the Scosche adapter to feed the factory amp currently.

Oof. That sounds really bad. I run a Cheap Chinese android unit but it has four line-level outputs and four speaker-level from an onboard amp. No real problems with clipping using the Rover amp from the line outputs. Hate to say it, but it may be better to get a different unit instead.

Well, the amp is really easy to replace so I would start with that, I think it's just one plug, so you might not even need to take the original one out to do a quick A/B test.

I'm not sure how important this is but the Scosche website specifically mentions that it works with Bose, and doesn't list the Land Rover as compatible. Perhaps Alpine simply isn't going to fly.
