Default cracking/scratching like noise coming from rear speaker... sub??

Not all the time but more like when I first start the car or drive around, ill get a scracthing like noise from the rear speaker, its coming from the drivers side left in the trunk right along the glass. Sounds like a loose connection as if you were scratching a live wire against something, im not getting much bass at all, isnt that where the rear sub is located and if so, are all the subs from 95-02 the same?

neverming, my bass speakers in the back are blown, anyway I can just buy some aftermarket ones and make it work since the aftermarket ones will most likely not have the the whole for the screw for the amp?

I have not done it on my Range but on my Disco I replaced the dual subs in the back and just mounted the amp inside the enclosure and not on the speaker itself. That may be a way to get it going agan without having to go OEM.

On the Disco they are 6.5", I had to go to a specialty shop to get the speakers though. If you can find just a sub at Best Buy in the right size then it should work just fine.
