Default Rear Wiper Washer Hose Repair?

Found out my rear washer hose has a crack/hole in it. Kept pumping it and pumping it, yet no fluid out the rear washer. Soon enough there was washer fluid pouring on the ground from the rear bumper and the area behind the floor vent was wet. Luckily the break was at the door inside the rubber wire grommet.

What's the best way to repair this? I presume I'd splice the hose at the break and use some sort of connector? If so, anyone have a recommendation for the proper connector that won't leak? The inside diameter of the hose is about 4.8mm.

Thanks

I cut mine and used a fluid connector to repair the hose. It works well. It will not leak with the correct connector but some high quality tape will fix any leaks.

I did some searching on Amazon last night and found some brass connectors. I think 3/16 is the right size but I could be wrong. Is brass overkill?

I used it for the rear. Im sure they will work for the front as well as they are the same size.

Thanks, images are always good for future reference here.

I assume you just spliced the hose at the break and connected them with one of the included connectors in your kit?
