Default Recent Head Gasket Project

What started as a power steering replacement turned into a head gasket project and more… Special thanks to a D2 friend who did all of the work. Amazing attention to detail and commitment. Jack from Bonifay, Fl.

Wow, looking great. I’m sure you’re aware that the hood removes very easily to get it out of the way. (It looks a bit awkward lying under it)

I removed it during the bedliner project. I guess Jack chose not to do it but he did an amazing job even if he made it harder. No complaints on my end.

Hell yeah! Congrats on the completed work, must feel amazing! Looks like the car is ready for another 10+ years

I am in the middle of the same job(s), but blocked on removing ball joints, I've rented the readily available ball joint c-clamp tool in most major U.S. automotive stores with no luck. Any advise / pics of the job?

Thanks. Jack fabricated his own tool and combined it with a C Clamp. He said they were a PITA. Good luck on your D2.
