Red tail lights in bumper??
I have the 2003 Disco which has reverse lamps coupled with a red light on each side in the rear bumper. My wife noticed that one of my reverse lights was out so I fixed it and while she worked the brakes and lights I noticed that the red ones do not even come on. Are these the rear fog lights mentioned in the manual or should they be coming on with something else.
They dont come on unless you turn them on, they aren't activated by the brakes.
Is that what you meant?
If so, there is a switch that you push to turn those lights on.
BUT your main lights must be switched on in order for the fog lights to work.
If you knew that already, they're probably just out if they dont come on with the switch.

I have noticed that as well. So just need to take the hot side of the red lights in the rear bumper and tie into the brake light line. Would it make sense to have it wired to work both ways? If so, any issue with voltage to the lights if you have the rear fog lights on and hit the brakes? Fried?
