Relocating Breather Lines
Today I was planning on relocating my transmission, transfer case and rear axel breather lines up to the top of the firewall. I had to do the transmission and t-case because they bacame unhooked from the firewall and melted on the exhaust. I used a wye push-in connector and ran the two into one and ran it up to the firewall. I planned on extending the rear axle breather because I have read that the line runs only up into the wheel well. However when I traced the line out I found that it ran from the axle, to the top side of the frame rail and then back to the rear bumper where it goes into a push in connector and then to a tube that runs up inside the void in the aft-most corner of the body (D pillar?) Is this the normal location of this breather or am I looking at something else?
Thanks,
Mike

That could make sense, the line I located was running in that direction. Can anyone else confirm or deny that in the '04 model the rear axle breather ran up to the passenger side tail light?

I took a look inside the panel. The breather line I am referring to is in a void aft of the bulkhead that is visible inside of that panel. Thanks for the help, it was a good idea, but no dice.
