Default Remote Key not working

Hi, I left my Discovery 2003 in my garage for 4 weeks and when I came back the battery was dead. I jumped the truck and it started working fine. After this happened the remote to open and close the doors will not work. I have changed the battery in the remote and it does not work. I can open and close the truck with the key or from the inside with the switch. The light in the key flashes red with no issues. How do I make my key work again?

Thanks,
R2racer

You will need to go to the dealer and have them reprogram your remote.
The security system has a rolling code and since the battery on the truck went dead the remote and truck are no longer in sync.
Only the deal and correct this for you.
Thats what sucks about having a good car alarm.

I have the SAME problem with my '03 Disco! Except it was left in a parking lot with a dead battery for about....2 years or so (haha). I'm glad to know my remote isn't bad, those things are expensive!
