Default Remote keylock does not work

Hello everybody,
As mentioned in the subject, the remote key in my Discovery stopped working. No warnings, normal key does work. I suspect cabling problem. As far as I know the remote control unit is under the roof. My question is where does the wiring go to?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Regards

I assume you have checked the battery in the fob... That said, are both the lock and unlock buttons not working? It is somewhat common for the unlock microswitch solder points to break on the fob's circuit board.

I assume by "fob" you mean the remote device in the key.
Yes, they are both ok, with new batteries and even tested to send signals. I read here that sometimed the BSU (if I am not mistaken) looses somehow the settings after unplugging the battery. How can I reset it then?
