Default remotekey not working

Wondering if any of you have experienced this issue.

I order a new key from remotekey.co.uk , absolutely loved the simplicity of the programming and functionality of the key. Key worked flawlessly for 3 motnhs and then one day walking back to my disco from the mall, nothing. The key is inop. thought it might have been a battery issue, swapped out the battery and still nothing. messaged the sellers and no response. Really hope i dont have to buy another key.

I'm in a similar boat. Purchased two keys. Used one as my primary, but the fob started working sporadically for a week after I've had the key for a few months before becoming inoperable. Switched to the second key which was fine for a while. That, too, stopped working after a few months longer. None of my original keys worked, either. I reached out to Remote Key about the issue and they suggested that the radio receiver (located under the headliner) may have died. My Nanocom did not "see" any transmission from any of my fobs, which leads me to believe their assumption.

My fobs are both from a wrecker. Nano can program your BCU to accept them.

Definitely try to get a hold of Remote Key. I'm disappointed that they have not been responsive for you. When I had an issue with my keys, they responded within two days.

I had a similar issue with a seller who sends you a device that plugs into the ODB 2 port and programs the key and then you ship back the device.

Mine lost synch after a few months. Afterward I purchased a Nanocom and could re-synch it but it would lose synch again after some months.

I've had better luck getting genuine keys from a salvage yard and programing with the Nanocom. The genuine fobs don't loose synch.
