Default Removal of compleate interior.

I have removed the seats and carpets from the '98 discovery today. I found quite a bit a surface rust in the rear cargo area. And the front drivers floor was pretty badly rusted. I have a 4" hole down there. I'll be welding in a patch when I find some time in the next few days. And re-painting the floor surface.

I was just wondering while the interior is out of the car. Is there any thing I should be looking out for. Any nice upgrades to be done? The car has 225,000km's on it. It runs good. Smooth on the highway, no vibrations or rattles.

Thanks

Frank

Might consider laying some extra sound deadening material down once you have the surface sealed....You can get it from any upholstery supply company..

The areas where you plan on covering it back up with carpet etc. you may want to consider laying down some Herculiner or similar sealant so rust will not be a repeat issue.

Thanks. I'll get her all sealed up. It's hard to say where the water comes in. The foam mats under the carpets where soaked. I'm going to guess most if that water come from boots - snow and slush in winter time.
