Default Removal of Disco I shocks...and other issues!!

Hi All,

Had a few quick questions if anyone might have some suggestions. Have a Disco I 97 and am trying to remove the OEM land rover shocks and having the hardest time removing the bottom main nut on the front shocks. As you all know, you have to find a way to clamp the shock so it doesn't rotate while trying to remove the lower nut....I've tried a vise-grip, but does anyone have any better ideas...just can't get enough torq.

Second question is, and I just can't rememeber, but is there a way to reset the check engine light on my disco one or do I need to get it reset with an OBD II reader.

Final question...have Hella fog lights and they just stopped working. Checked all the fuses in the car and repaced the fog light switch, but they still don't work...any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Dave

I had the same problem with my front shocks, I had to take it to the muffler shop, $50 and 2 hours later they were installed.

Yes you need to use a OBD scanner to reset the CEL, but FIRST you need to find out why it is on.

Fog lights, no clue. Bad ground.
