Removing 3rd row seats in a se7
Just did it the past weekend and boy is it nice not having the noise of those seats moving around on the latches on every bump.
Lower the seats to access the mouting points. Remove the plastic covers by pulling off. You'll then need to remove the two bolts on the top of the pivot bracket and two nuts on the bottom of the bracket. Now just pull the seat assembly off the bottom studs and you done. Not sure I'll ever put mine back in.

that sounds correct top bolts first, I did mine a few week ago.I was disappointed that I could not replace the seat with the cargo bins. I should say both cargo bins, the driver’s side will not fit because of the dual air conditioning.
You can sometimes find used interior trim at the salvage yards or find some one with the same interior color that wants to switch up to a seater and get all his trim part when you sell your complete/seats and trim to him.
Is it possible to add 3rd row seating to an 03 Discovery SE? I though I remember reading something about the SE7's having special mounts in the rear cargo area that the other models don't have.
Yes, but what you need to do is keep an eye on the salvage yards for one with the same interior color. If you find one, you will want to get all the rear cargo interior as well as the seats to make it look like factory.
