Default removing autobaun protectorant

Has anyone ever removed the rubber protectorant on the hood and roof of your LR. I purchased this as an extra when i bought my Disco six years ago. Anyways Its begining to fade and crack. The idea is it protects your paint from rock dings. Now i would like to remove it , has anyone heard of this andhow to remove it. thanks

Are you talking about a clear bra on your hood, if so, sure it can be removed.

no mike it is not a raised piece of plastic. This is actually stuck onto to the paint, kind of a rubber clear material.--
