Removing coolant without spills
Gents, how would one remove coolant w/o spills? I may need to remove/replace my coolant reservoir. There is no garage and I do work in the shared driveway, so I want to be nice to the neighbors. My not-so-brilliant idea is to use a wet vacuum and suck out the fluid from the tank. Any other ideas? Thank you, --mc
Turkey baster works well, put a large piece of cardboard under the disco and aluminum foil basin as a catch can underneath. If you get a deep catch basin it should catch any overflow and fit on the fender under the expansion tank.

Long term, consider either adding a drain plug to your radiator or cutting your lower radiator hose in half and splicing in a tee for a coolant sensor with a plug. There are drain plugs on the engine block, but they're rather annoying to get to and, at least on my engine, covered in a nice layer of oil from the prior owner.
