Does anyone know how to remove the lock actuators in an 04 DII? Is there a trick to this as it seems there is no way to get it out with the window frame in the way inside the door.

 

Front or rear door ??? In both cases, with the window all the way up, take the window frame out, and for the front, you also need to remove the mirrorto free the frame.

Just take your time, do one thing at a time and the actuator should be changed within an hour.

 

I need to do both drivers side front and rear. I will tackle it this weekend. Someone said these can be rebuilt with a new motor from Radio Shack so I will try this and see what happens.

 

You need to look in the RAVE manual, it breaks down exactly how to remove them... except they do miss two screw locations...
