Default Removing the fan from the water pump pulley

Hello all,

Related to 03 Disco: Can anyone tell me if the threads for the fan assembly are standard right hand threads or left hand?

Thanks

The terminology always throws me off, but when facing the truck, you loosen the fan clutch by turning the nut to the left.

LOL...I had the same question 6 months ago.

A bit of advice...when you pull the fan clutch, make sure that the wrench you use is in decent condition. If you don't buy one, you can 'rent' them, but keep in mind that the rental tools you get from many auto parts stores are frequently worn out. If you have any problems getting the clutch loose, the first thing to check will be that the wrench you're using actually measures to be the size it says it is. (I had both 32mm and 36mm fan clutch wrenches and they measured out to actually be 38mm and 40mm respectively.)
