Default Removing one or both of my jump seats

I have been thinking of actually removing my rear jump seats in my 2000 Discovery. I rarely, if ever, carry 7 passengers and need the extra storage space removal would give me. Just not sure how to go about a clean removal. If anyone has experience or tips in how I go about this, let me know. Thanks.

Pull them out and get the panels from one that doesn't have seats. You can also swap the rear carpet, or just put a cargo mat over it to hide the holes.. Check e-bay for people parting them out.

Default want to remove the fold down jump seatrs

May not have been clear in last post. I want to remove the 2 fold down jump- type seats in the very back of my Disco. Just not sure if I need to remove the plastic side panels or just somehow dissassemble the seat bar that goes thru the plastic side panels. I'm not really worried about covering up the latch catches where the seats lock in place. I have a heavy dury cargo mat to lay over the back deck.

I don't know the exact procedure for a D2. I was just advising that you could go back with the panels from a truck that didn't have seats. (to make it look clean).

This is for mine, see if it helps you any until someone with a D2 can advise.

you can just reach under the seat with a socket they are spring loaded so you need to take care, but four bolts on each and they are out. If you want to put the factory storage bins in that is a different story.

It was easier than I thought. Just 2 bolts to get to the rear lamps.
