Default Removing the shift handle **** and bezel?

Hi folks,

I need to remove my shift **** to replace the bezel and center console, the former owner had kids who used it as a step into the back seat and it is cracked.

How does one remove the shift ****. I read on a Range Rover forum that you use a small screwdriver to pry out the square button in the **** and then remove some clips. Any idea if this works in a 2003 Disco?

Thanks

Pop the top off of the shifter and you will see a retaining clip inside for the button. Pop that off and pull the handle up. I am pretty sure your H/L shifter **** just screws off...
