Default RE: repainting the rover

lol...every other car out here (colorado) is a subaru.. they are constantly in my way... Someone made a mint though, sellling them Obama stickers...

I am definitely looking at doing the white roof... I guess if I don't like it, I can always have it repainted. Trying to decide if it would be better to have the hood blacked out with paint, or just get a blackout decal (after having it repainted)...

I am going to start calling around and "doing my homework" to find out a good paint shop around here... I am going to wait till after the winter to have this done.

Interestingly, I have two 95 Discoveries and this one (green) was taken care of better than my other (black), yet the black one's paint is almost perfect....

thanks for all of the responses.

I kind of like that.. I think with the roof rack that would look real slick.

Does anyone know the paint code for the white that is used on white discoveries? Or the white roofs of the defenders?

thanks

My thought exactly sloppyjoe. Forest green, white roof, flat black wheels. High on my list of things I'll probably never get done.

as for the flat black hood paint, a lot of the top paint manufacturers like ppg have noticed the trend to paint hot rods and motorcycles flat black like the old school guys used to do, so now they make automotive grade paint with a flat finish, complete with no shine clear coats... talk to a good paint and body shop they should be able to get their hands on it for you... it should hold up just as well as regular car paint...
