I honestly don't know ralphobell. The technician who performed the work is a fellow D2 owner but I'm not sure which scanner he was using. I was hoping someone had encountered the same problem and might know what the issue was.

The ground was double-checked and the connection was soldered. Any chance we wired up the wrong wire on the ABS module?

In addition to completing the wiring bypass did you also check resistance across the switches as specified in Josh's write-up? If the switches were already bad the bypass alone will not correct that problem. EDIT --- Never mind; I overlooked the fact that the OP said the switches were replaced. Nonetheless, perhaps it would be worth testing the switches anyway to see if they were perhaps bad right out of the box. Unlikely I know.

1 should be to yellow/green wire. The other to ground. Doesn't matter which wire is grounded and which is hooked to yellow/green wire.

If they cut the yellow/green wire to splice into, they may have spliced into the wrong end. It should not go back into the abs, but to the ecm.

here is picture of how i did mine. I did not cut mine, i just used a posilock tap, and tapped into the yellow/green wire, and did the same on the ground wire which is the thick black wire coming out of the abs, below the larger connector.

I personally do not like cutting oem wire harnesses unless i have to. The taps i prefer are these:

Let me know what you find out.

That's a good outside bet.

Joemamma1954 for the win! Thanks man, that did the trick. It was spliced into the end going back to the ABS module.
