Default replacement antenna

ok so here goes... replaced my antenna less than a year ago(95 disco non power), kids in the neighborhood break it. easy job to replace but was thinking...is there a good after market rubber antenna? the factory replacement (Power antenna they no longer make) is $300, the replacement non power about $40, but if I'm considering real off roading and need to hear my weather band etc., how do I not get my antenna ripped off? any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks Bill

Tighten it with a wrench.
A friend of mine kept losing his valve covers (for the tires) to local kids stealing them - he got some you could tighten with a wrench and they quit taking them.

Default RE: replacement antenna

maybe I didn't explain well enough. I need like a rubber or other antenna to avoid more damage and not continue to replace my antenna. It's easy enough to replace but is becoming burdensome
