Default Fin Antenna Replacement 08 LR3

I stupidly backed into my garage the other day when the snow had raised the ground level by a couple of inches. This was enough to whack the fin antenna off its mount on the roof as I backed in. Any ideas where I can get a replacement? Or am I stuck with going to the dealer? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

Dealer only.
Be brave, it won't hurt.

okay... sorry but I found your post and it really is important to me...

You backed up and hit the fin... this didn't cause cracks and damage to the glass on the moonroof?

I went camping woke up and noticed cracks in the moon roof glass starting from underneath the antenna. Took it to the dealer 2.5 hour drive and dropped it off for repair.
they said Impact damage.... however the module is perfect and sat and all works great...

there is an anomaly in the shape but dent seems like something putting that much force would break the antenna... also I am the only driver and haven't hit anything on the roof especially in reverse which is the only way this damage could occur.

No damage to the glass whatsoever. The fin isn;t really attached to the glass I don't think. It seems like it would take a downward impact on the glass to crack it. Were you loading anythig on a roof rack?

nope don't own a roof rack and don't have a ladder... wasn't being parked in a garage and never go into parking garages... Disneyland Garage first time in this car only after the damage...

Need to get some pictures of other Sat Fins... Don't think the crack is from downward pressure of the fin... think its stress cracks from twisting.

Sorry to see the damage... however I really appreciate the pictures.. they show exactly what I'm looking for!... direct damage to the back of the fin... and didn't crack / detroy the glass moonroof... or did it? Do you have any shots of the glass without the Fin? Basically I'm not sure how it mounts... are there holes through the glass or just glued?

I am sending you a PM for some more details... Hopefully that is okay!
