Sounds like it’s pretty unanimous — it’s been tinted! I’ll check out one of the side windows to confirm.

Confirmed! An hour with a fabric steamer, and have the driver and passenger windows done.





I noticed the back side windows have three lines running vertically at an angle. Is this something I should watch out for, or are they just aesthetic?

Those are probably the radio antennae.

Steamers work great for removing tint! Looking much nicer already.

The vertical lines on the rear window might be defroster lines. Just use an ample amount of steam on those areas and try not to break any of the stripes as it'll break the defrost circuit. Just take your time, go slow and you should be alright.

The rear window has defroster elements. The rear side windows have radio antennae.

I think I was careful enough to avoid damaging anything.

I would have left the alpine window tinted, but otherwise I approve. Tinted windows bother me.

if you live in the southwest you will find windows are often tinted

Makes sense. If I was driving out to the desert regularly, I might change my mind.
