Default Replacing Ignition Switch.. HELP!

Does anyone know how to get the bolts off the ignition switch on the steering wheel column of a 96 discovery? They look factory installed and I have no idea how to get them off. And besides that what are any other details I need to know when replacing an ignition switch? I can't turn the key and in the process locked the steering wheel. I am currently trying to sellthis truck but I think I may get more if it runs.. just a hunch. Thanks!

Carlos

They are anti-theft bolts. You can try taking a small pair of vice-grips and turning, or you can drill them out and re-tap them.

You can also cut a slot in the top of the anti theft bolts and remove with a screw driver.

Or use a small chisel and try to tap the bolt loose.

Hammer and chisel work the best.
