Replacing rear carpet with plywood?
My carpet in the back of my disco has started to smell so I removed it and found some surface rust and the carpet was soaked. I was thinking about replacing the carpet with a sheet of plywood covered in marine carpet to prevent it from happening again.
has anyone else done this in the past? If so how did it work. And what other recommendations do y’all have for replacing the carpet? I was thinking about just spraying it with bedliner but then I read about how much noise it makes.
thanks!

Yeah I have a seven seater with both of the jump seats out so I was planning on bolting it down with the mounting points for the seats. I was looking at dyna liner but it is way too expensive for me. I was thinking about putting spray foam into all of the divots and trimming it flush to make the bed flat. I think that could help with sound and make the plywood more sturdy.
