Default Replacing roof disco II!!!

Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I have the opportunity to buy a LR very cheaply with a smash in the roof.
just had a few questions:
How exactly is the roof attached?
Could someone give me the exact dimensions (width, lenght, height) of the roof?

Thanks so much!
Jim

how bad is the roof damage?

we need a pic... if it were mine... i'd remove the interior seats, alpine panels trim, wiring and then take a sawsall and remove the roof above the gutter line. that way you can see what your gonna be dealing with and then i'd seperate the roof at the gutter.... or

if some of the roof is okay cut that section thats bad out and replace, prime and paint

Bad roof = totaled car and the structural integrity compromised. Was it rolled? If so, what else is wrong with it? I'd be concerned with engine damage. Typically, engines are still running when they land on their roof which isn't good.

There are too many other cheap Discos to be had with fewer headaches attached. Maybe buy this one for spare parts, though.

The roofs are welded on. You need to have a bodyshop do the job.

Hmmm... It looks like its a modular roof but I guess looks are deciving. Could sombody measure the lenght of the roof (from rain gutter to rain gutter at the longest point) and width (from rain gutter to rain gutter at the longest point) I'd really appreciate it

trust me a dealer will be the only one to have a roof and its unpainted.
if it is smashed you have to replace the roof.

My 2000 series II roof is 60" wide x 98" long x 10" tall that includes the roof rails.
