Replacing seals in the LT230 T Case
Ok for those who don't already know from my griping, my front output bearing is toast on my transfer case.
I have finally acquired a new bearing and understand that you can actually do this job with out removing the entire case.
Unfortunately, I feel that what caused this bearing failure to begin with is that the fluid level dropped and it died because my t-case leaks like no other. I tried a thicker oil and the blue devil treatment and no luck.
So. I want to remove the entire case and replace all the seals possible but I am limited on tools. For the bearing I'm bringing the shaft to a machine shop to have them press on the new one.
I really need some advice on how to replace as many seals as possible (I'm using the seal kit from Atlantic british[]Your search did not match any products.) without taking too much of the case apart that I can't put back together.
