Default Replacing a water pump and oil Pan Gasket

Anyone done either of these, how hard, any tips or tricks, any suggestions on parts

relatively easy. On the oil pan, I would go ahead and drop the crossmember, track rod and stabilizer so you have plenty of room. Don't have to have a gasket. You can just use sealant.

Fan clutch is the hardest thing about the water pump.

Do a search, there are some write ups..

On the crossmember be careful the bolts snap off pretty easily. I don't think it is structural more for protection so if all the bolts don't make it don't sweat it, drill them out and use a nut and bolt. The viscous fan is the hardest thing, it is 36 mm northern tool sells a 36mm wrench and the Ford wrench from autozone works too. Some have had luck with thin adjustable wrenches also. You need to hold it from spinning somehow, search around for different options. Also use a thread sealer on the water pump bolts (not a thread locker, permatex makes a thread sealer).

Leave the belt on the fan, work around it, it will keep it from turning.
