reset adaptive values of CPS
I just replaced the CPS on '02 DII and the truck still won't start. I double checked all connections to make sure they were correct. Rave says that adaptive values need to be reset with test book anytime the CPS is removed. Is there a way I can do this without Testbook? or do I have a different problem all together? Thanks
I see lots of people weekly that install new crank sensors and have never heard them say they had to, truck just starts right up.
Have you done the sensor test with an OHM meter to verify your new sensor is sending a good signal?

Most importantly, what was the vehicle doing that caused you to think it needed a new CPS? If a running or no-start problem was misdiagnosed, replacing a good CPS with another one won't solve anything.
Lord, I was driving when the truck suddenly stalled. After starting right up again, the truck died once more after about ten minutes of driving. This time it did not start up. I thought it might be the Alternator, I put a new alt in and had the same symptoms. Reading about CPS in Rave made me think that it had gone bad.
Mike, I did not test new sensor with OHM
