This past weekend while off-roading, my muffler snagged on an obstacle and kinked the exhaust pipe behind the resonator. I took it to an exhaust shop and the guy said he could replace the pipe with a resonator delete and it wouldn't make much of a difference to the sound. I'd love it to have a little more burble, but I don't want any noticeable drone on the highway. Anyone with this setup that can comment on the drone?

Can hardly notice the difference with it off. Maybe a bit more on hard acceleration.

 

You’ll only notice the difference at cold startup, and maybe 30-35MPH and then again at say 50-55MPH and by noise I mean it just sounds like a Tahoe vs a muted LR V8. None of my LR’s including my LR3 have the OEM resonators.

Delete with a MagnaFlow muff. The little rover v8 has a nice "small block chevy" sound.
