Default Riddle me this?? Car starts when I hit the hibeams

So I noticed today while driving my wife's disco that after driving for a while if I touched the brake pedal or if I flashed the high beams I got the three tones that I assume means the ecu is throwing a code. (I have gotten the code that says low voltage to what I assume is the ecu before). I stopped the car and shot it off for five minutes and when I got back in nothing happened when I turned the key so of ****s and giggles I pulled the high beam stalk back and low and behold the truck turned right over. I was able to repeat this two more times when the truck didnt turn over when the key was turned.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Eric

Hahaha!
I haven't the slightest idea, but that's hilarious.
Post a video! Please!

Your XYZ switch is mal-adjusted and you bumped the shift lever while turning on the headlights.

You recently ripped out the factory radio and put in an after market.

Some bonehead put in a car alarm.

Your key switch where you put the key into is going bad cause you have 170,000 or more miles on the truck and your key ring has about 15 to 20 keys on it. Too heavy.

It seems like a great anti-theft device. Are you sure you want to fix it?

Electrical problems can be a bear to track down. Good luck. Start by having the battery and Alternator tested for free at an auto parts store and check every single fuse

Do you have a remote starter installed?

As far as I can tell everything is stock.

We just installed a new battery and the alternator tested fine.

Thanks

Years ago I drove a company vehicle that would honk the horn when I pulled the parking brake release. Right now the AC/Heater blower motor in the Discovery stops when I touch the brake pedal. It's hot here. I'm gonna have to find that problem.
