Default Right hand drive conversion

So after reading and seeing all the sweet pics of the U.K. Camel trucks, I've decided to convert my 2001 LHD SE7 to a RHD. Before I contact a few breaker companies in the UK, I'd ask around here and see if anyone has got an disco2 rhd they'd be willing to part with. I've done rhd conversions several times with old mazda miatas, and I'm budgeting down time for roughly 7 weeks, worst case scenario. Thoughts? Hot leads?
And yes I am totally 100% aware of no more drive thrus, tolls, atms, parking garages, before my disco I drove a little Eunos NB8C as my daily driver.

I'm sure some rhd vehicles must have made it across. PaulG or Ab would be a good gauge, as they may have come across one or two. Or a call to Land Rover US might help. I called them about a vin number once and they were great. Think diesels don't get through the door though, so that might lessen the number.

Do Canada admit diesels?

Why would you want to convert to RHD?

Just shoot DiscoMike a PM for his phone number and he'll walk you through the conversion

Isn't Mike missing again? I know he was back for a couple weeks a few months ago, but haven't seen or heard from him since.

Yeah he's been gone a while.

Why would you want to convert to RHD?? It is unsafe to drive a RHD in a LHD country. Not illegal, but definitely not safe at all. Also, you will be required to modify your existing firewall/bulkhead because I'm pretty sure that it is illegal to swap a firewall (I might be wrong). Most people do the other way around when they import Defenders, for example. Just my two cents.

Lots of opinions here masquerading as facts. My 109 is rhd. I'd never convert it. A rhd car makes perfect sense when you have a manual transmission. The left side of your body is responsible for shifting and it just feels natural.

My 0.02 cents would be to do this to a d1. Simpler truck, camel era authentic and there are rhd trucks for sale cheap in the uk that are getting close to exportable to the USA.

I'd buy a 3 door 200tdi 5 speed and not look back

To be fair i'm not taking my own advice on d1 over d2. My wife prefers the d2 form factor and forward facing 3rd row which is why I'm dealing with can bus diagrams and stand alone transmission controllers and other such frustrations.

You could even look for a rusted out mot failure 3 door 200tdi and bring it in as the donor vehicle to a rust free American car.
