Default Right low beam headlight quit working

Strange, this happened once before on my 2003 but it came back on and seemed to work fine. This time it went off, the bulb is good (I even tried another new one just to make sure) but the low beam does not work and I get zero voltage at the plug. I checked the fuses below the steering wheel and they look ok. Anyone aware of an issue with headlights that I am not aware of? I need to get my car inspected and am wondering if I could just run a wire from the left low beam to the right as a quick fix.

What kind of bulb are you using? Standard factory bulb or something like a Sylvania Silverstar?
Trace the wiring back from the bulb and look for a short/corrosion/etc.

thats what I did as a quick fix... and I've just left it like that as it works fine for me

depending on the inspection station they might not even care, try to find an old mom and pop station

The high dollar Sylvania ones. I'll check the wire trail but I would have assumed that a fuse would blow if it's a short.

OK, it was the damn fuse but I had a hard time finding it. Under the hood on the fuse box is a fuse that looks like the typical fog light symbol and the fuse was good so I assumed it was for a fog lamp and may well be.

Under the steering wheel is the major fuse box and there are 2 fuses that look like head light symbols and they were both good. Farther down are 2 symbols which look like fog lights but are in fact low beam R&L fuses. My right one was burned out and I may have shorted it the other day when messin with hooking up the driving beam lights. Replaced the fuse and all is well. Thanks to those with suggestions, but no one suggested I continue to see my shrink but I will all the same!

Have you checked all your fuses?
