Headlight sticks on high beam

Headlight sticks on high beam
So after our accident when the headlights are switched to high beam the driver's side light will stay on high beam when I switch back to low beam. If I tap on the headlight housing it will switch back to low beam. Is this something with the control module/igniter or did something possibly get damaged in the accident?

Accident, you never said anything about an accident.
This is an issue that pops up, I had the same problem, and no accident knock on wood. It took a lot of time and some tools to carefully disassemble the headlight assembly and do some fiddling. There are a couple of issues that pop up with them. If you plan to do it yourself, this picture thread will help a lot. Go through the entire thing, as there are a couple variations on the problems.
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - sticky headlight probably solved
PS. Being up where you are, maybe want to check for moisture issues as well, and be sure to seal everything back up, condensation is another issue that pops up.
