lol duct tape, hose clamps, vac hose 10 feet will do that will replace those brittle plastic hoses if one snaps so you can bypass it, a gallon 50/50, auto fire extinguisher, jump box if you dont already have one, jumper cables will do, 12v tire inflator, gallon of oil, tire patch kit, box of random fuses, spare headlight and taillight bulbs, tire pressure guage... all these should be in the truck even when NOT roadtripping

Disagree.
Most important. Know your vehicle.
These trucks will get you places you won't have cell coverage for days. That's where I go on my trips.

Also. Just noticed your name. Love it. We rescued a great Pyr 6 months ago. She is the easiest dog to work with I've ever owned.

Went camping last weekend...2+ hrs each way with no issues other than my UG started reporting every parameter incorrectly, from engine temps (a steady 87-90F) to MPH (27 while on the freeway). Did a full reset and it's fine now but felt like flying blind for a while.

Before the trip I'll:
-Change diff fluid
-Replace P/S fluid
-Install a new radiator

And I’ll carry with me:
-New CKP is in the mail
-Carry Tools/Oil/Coolant/fuses…

This should be cleaned up and turned into a sticky!

Made it TO FL without incident, except that for some reason, the tranny started slipping just little (shudders) when going into 2nd. Only did that on medium-hard acceleration. Topped off the fluid when I arrived...used about 1/2 qt and it hasn't happend again...yet.
